Watsu 1® TRANSITION FLOW
with DarIya Kuznic
1st to 6th of June 2020
Watsu (Water Shiatsu) is an aquatic healing and relaxation technique developed by Harold Dull in the early 1980s in the waters of California , adapting the principles of Zen Shiatsu to the body floating in the warm water.
Watsu combines touch and massage with stretches and mobilizations of the spine and joints. Hot water promotes circulation and fluidity of energy and helps to relieve physical, psychological or emotional stress. During a Watsu session the head is supported and the face is never immersed.
The training takes place in a pool with water temperature of about 34 ° C.
The classes are open to all ages in English with translation into Portuguese.
In this course you will be taught to connect the basic movements and positions you have learned in Watsu Basic with long, gracefully flowing transitions and to adapt this work to people of different sizes, shapes, and dispositions.
You will also learn about your own body mechanics and how to support and move each person as effortlessly as possible.
WATSU is a course recognized worldwide by WABA.
Dates: 1 till 5 of June 2020
Schedule: 10h to 18h
About the Teacher:
Dariya was born in Slovenia. Looking for deeper meaning in life, she found the international community of Auroville in India, where she lives and works since 1991.
She enjoys holding space for individuals and groups to explore and expand themselves on land and in the water. She believes that we people are very much into doing, not taking enough time for being. This is why she is creating spaces and possibilities to simply be, to support, to be nurtured and we can tap into our own inner wisdom and healing and wholeness can emerge.
She is teacher of Watsu and other water therapies and is passionate about free dance - holding space as Dance Offering. On her ongoing search she encountered Chameli & Awakening Women Institute few years ago, and became passionate about sharing the power of Women Temples…
Dariya feels grateful that her work and what she loves are one…
